Inca dives into naval aviation history!

A new Welcome Gallery for the Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm Museum

Inca Creative, in partnership with exhibition specialists Motivation and Audio Nation, have been commissioned to work on the new Welcome Gallery display at the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Based in the heart of the Somerset countryside the museum is situated alongside Europe’s busiest military air station and home to the largest collection of naval aircraft in Europe. Exhibits include the first British Concorde and rare de Havilland Sea Vampire Mk1 to modern Sea Harriers and helicopters.

More than a museum, The Fleet Air Arm Museum is an exciting interactive experience that brings the history of Naval aviation to life with audio, visual and sensory technology.

The new Welcome Gallery display will ‘set the scene’ for the museum with a visual snapshot of the exhibits; highlight the key areas of interest and provide navigation tools enabling visitors to explore the museum with ease. It’s launch, in July 2017, also coincides with the commissioning of the new naval aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth and this historic event will be featured within the gallery display.

The display will include:

  • Audio visual presentation
  • Sound effects
  • Floor projections
  • Graphic display with an interactive ‘gesture wall’
  • Signage and directional information
  • Education information dispenser
