The Problem…
I’d been to watch the rugby with friends and went to a nice bar afterwards. After buying a round of drinks I noticed that my phone wasn’t in my pocket. “I searched the floor and rechecked my empty pockets and had the heart sinking realisation that it must have been stolen.”
In that moment wheels were set in motion that led to the inception of Nuke From Orbit, a smartphone security concept designed to tackle the negative outcomes of the growing theft of smartphones. In James’ case thieves were able to extract approx £25,000 from the cards in his mobile wallet before he was able to put a halt to things. In his own words:
“I never thought something like this could happen to me. I was careful – vigilant, even – about my private and financial information. I used strong, unique passwords, PIN numbers and biometric security. And it still wasn’t enough.”
The Repsonse
From this came the idea for a Smartphone Security app that could literally Nuke all account access at the press of a button (give or take a pin number). Inca Creative has worked with James on numerous occasions previously so were very interested to be approached to collaborate on the NFO project.
Collaboration
Inca agreed to design and develop the website and immediately set to work to build a site that would be the web-facing shopfront of the app. The website is in tune with the design styling of the app which is structured to be quick to load, easy to understand and allow rapid onboarding.
Simple, Fast, Robust & Safe
The app itself is in the final stages of Beta testing but meanwhile the site is ready to deliver multi-lingual capability to appeal to a global audience. The system employs a mechanism to export it to a static front end. This makes it super fast, robust and super safe. It excludes the need to load databases and php processes and with no backend, it cannot be attacked in the usual ways.
