The Chemistry Council is a joint Government/industry sector council for the chemical industry in the UK. Their aim is for Government and industry to work together on issues that will encourage companies to invest in the UK.

Businesses within the sector generate £17.8bn Gross Value Added, with a turnover of £48.7bn. They provide direct and indirect employment for around 400,000 people in many different regions of the UK and invest significantly in science and engineering research and development.

Working in partnership with Kloc Digital Solutions, we were engaged to design the interface for the new Chemistry Council website.

Aims and purpose
The site is first and foremost a hub and a resource, outlining the council’s landmark strategy, ‘Sustainable Innovation for a better world’, designed to support and drive business through the sector.

Design features
Colour coding is used to define distinct content sections with creative imagery to represent the key topics and illustrate the often overlooked, dynamic aspect of the industry. The UK company directory is an important resource intended to encourage business connection and the Member area outlines the various partners who are committed to supporting the council endeavours.
