QR Codes bring mobile interaction to a historic exhibition

We successfully married the historic and the contemporary for The National Trust's latest exhibition, The Howard de Waldens at Chirk Castle. QR codes have seen an exponential increase in popularity in recent years; simply scan with your mobile phone and link direct to a web page.

At each exhibit QR codes were positioned to allow visitors to interact with the displays in new and exciting way. The provision of a number of iPads allowed the resident room guides to share this information with visitors who may not have the latest technology on hand.

The inclusion of mobile media has extended the appeal of heritage sites to a wider and younger audience.
