World Peace Day was set on the 21st of September in 2001 through the United Nations by world peace campaigner, Jeremy Gilley. Jeremy, who happens to enjoy wakeboarding as his sport of choice, founded Peace One Day and you can check out www.peaceoneday.org for the intro movie on the home page to see what he is up to. There is a massive concert at Albert Hall on the 21st and if you can't make it there you should head down to Ride for Peace instead.
Ride for Peace is happening on Friday, 21st of September at JB Ski (www.jbski.com) to coincide with World Peace Day. The afternoon starts at 3pm with some pro coaching for the general public, BBQ, DJ Gumbo Yaya, raffle including an O'Brien Wakeboard and Billabong prizes. Then from 5:30pm we have the cable just for the pro riders to put on a freeride demo including Richie Hiney, Nick Davies, Jonty Green, Christian Koester (CK) and Marc Rossiter. It is going to be an awesome afternoon so head down after work to enjoy the great wakeboarding!
