Supporting Female Healthcare

As design specialists in the healthcare sector we work with lots of organisations to create awareness of the services and treatments they offer.

Worrying stats on smear test take up

We’ve seen reported in the press this week that 1 in 4 women don’t attend smear tests due to embarrassment about their bodies. A worrying stat when Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under, but very preventable.

The findings are the result of a survey conducted by Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and have been released at the beginning of Cervical Cancer Prevention week.

Creating awareness for specialists

As design specialists in the healthcare sector we work with lots of organisations to create awareness of the services and treatments they offer. And some of those services are sensitive, so it’s helping to make the messaging approachable and friendly.

One of the organisations we work with is The Surrey Park Clinic who opened their doors in 2005 and are a private gynaecology clinic, catering for the growing need for specialist female healthcare.

Communicating the complex clearly

Our work with The Surrey Park Clinic has been to redesign their website inline with their new branding to deliver an engaging and informative site, with clear navigation for an effective user experience.

The clinic offers an extensive range of treatments for a broad range of conditions. Therefore, the website needed to present a lot of important medical information in a user-friendly way because for a high number client’s, the website is their first port of call.

The website enjoys long dwell times with visitors reviewing the information, so we needed to ensure this was presented in the best possible way.

A website that focusses on the user

The new website design focussed on updated typography using larger fonts and more white space. Their new logo and colour palette were implemented throughout, with a larger slideshow linking to their 3 key areas for business development.

Mobile was shown to deliver high visitor traffic, so we built the site to be mobile-optimised.

A complete content update was facilitated, along with staff training for the administration of further content updates in-house.

We’re happy that the new site is engaging with a fresh new look, more refined content and a better user journey. And we hope the visitors think so too.
